Install & go offline

There is nothing to download or set up.

Head to codex.linea.sh. The app loads in your browser and is ready to use immediately.

After your first visit, Linea Codex keeps working without an internet connection. The app is cached on your device, and your projects are stored locally — so you can edit your tree on a plane, in an archive with no Wi-Fi, or anywhere else.

For the best experience, install Linea Codex as an app:

  • In most browsers, look for an install icon in the address bar, or choose Install from the browser menu.
  • Installing prompts your browser to persist your storage, which protects your projects from being cleared automatically when the device is low on space.

Installing also gives you a standalone window and a launcher icon, just like a native application.

Linea Codex updates itself. When a new version is available you’ll be notified and can reload to get the latest. Because everything runs locally, updates never touch your projects.
